📢 Transition to e-Location Citation System in JOSAM

Dear Authors and Readers,

Starting from Volume 10 Issue 6 (2026), the Journal of Surgery and Medicine (JOSAM) has transitioned from traditional page numbering to an electronic article identifier (e-location) citation system.

Articles will now be cited using a unique electronic article identifier instead of page ranges. The new citation format is as follows:

J Surg Med. 2026;10(6):e8331.

This update aims to improve digital publishing workflows, citation stability, indexing compatibility, DOI integration, and long-term accessibility across online platforms and databases.

The journal will continue to publish articles within the existing volume and issue structure. Only the traditional page numbering system has been replaced with unique electronic article identifiers.

This change does not affect DOI structure, indexing status, article accessibility, or citation tracking.

We kindly encourage authors, readers, and indexing services to use the new citation format in future references.
